Thank the Lord for saving my soul.  Would like to say that we can be a church member and still be lost.  This was me.  I worked in church, sang in quartets, sang solos, sang in the choir, played the piano and organ when needed also played the bass fiddle, directed plays and other church activities.  We can be very busy in church work and still not be saved.

This was me.  God had been dealing with me for some time.  As I would study, read different sermons, and listen as the Word was preached, deep inside I would say "I must be saved" I would not be doing all this in the church if I'm not saved.  All the things I was doing was not going to get me to heaven.

One night we had an evangelist preach at our church.  He said "you can know for sure you are saved".  If you do not know for sure you probably are not.  It was a very powerful message one that spoke to my heart.  I went to the altar and said "I do not believed I have ever been saved".  So that night I prayed for Jesus to forgive me of my sins, come into my heart and be my Saviour.  He filled me with the Holy Spirit and since that day have NEVER DOUBTED.  I know, that I know, that I know I am saved.
